Environ Clarity+ Hydroxy Acid Sebu-Clear Masque

For the weeks your skin decides to act up. This is an acid cream masque with a combination of exfoliating acids that helps clear the appearance of existing breakouts and lifts the congestion underneath, leaving skin looking visibly clearer.

What it does: reduces and clears the look of visible breakouts. It is the one you reach for when congestion shows up uninvited across a whole area, rather than as a single spot.

Why it's worth it

• Lactic acid and salicylic acid together, exfoliating on the surface and inside the pore
• Salicylic acid is oil-soluble, which is why it gets into congestion that other acids cannot reach
• Tea tree leaf oil
• Helps clear the appearance of existing breakouts rather than just drying them out
• Airless jar protects the formula from air and light, and keeps your fingers out of it
• Applied only to affected areas, so 50 ml goes a long way

How to use

Every second or third evening, on cleansed skin, apply an even layer to the affected areas with the brush provided. Avoid the eye area. Leave for 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with tepid water and follow with your moisturizer.

Every second or third evening, not nightly. This is an acid treatment, and over-using it on already irritated skin makes things worse rather than faster.

Heads up: it contains tea tree oil. Skip it if tea tree is a known irritant for you.

Broad-spectrum SPF every morning while you are using acids. Not optional, and especially not here, since breakouts leave marks that sun exposure makes considerably worse and considerably longer-lasting.

Size

50 ml (1.69 fl oz) in an airless jar. Twenty-four months unopened. Once opened, use within 10 to 12 weeks. Keep it cool, out of direct light and heat, and do not decant it.
